my plan on updating my blog regularly pretty much flew out the window by the second week - the only thing i’m keeping up with is fb and my dutch blog, which friends and family back home read - and i just wanted to pop in and say that y’know i am still alive and not decomposing in a gutter somewhere. i’m already halfway through my internship and i could go on and on about it but i think it can be accurately summarized in saying the work is amazing, the neighbourhood is amazing, my newly made friends are amazing, and i will cry like a baby when i have to leave.

the reason i’m not keeping up with tumblr is a) my laptop is old and won’t handle me scrolling through the dash, b) my laptop is old and i can’t keep up with shows/games, and i’d prefer to remain spoiler-free, c) i’m super busy even outside work and tend to spend my evenings walking and talking with friends and my weekends doing either research or touristy things (mostly the latter, but shh). so i’ll be pretty absent for another few weeks, sorry!
